Well, music, sweat, grease? Sounds like dancing. Oiled up, maybe - the grease could be decorative or used as a lubricant. In the interest of dancing, let's say for display? Which leaves the mind somewhere in the vicinity of poles.

I mean, I'm half joking and teasing, but people get horny, and I'd rather have something go missing from our supplies that will not leave my mechanic and me scrambling to fix something to fix something with spit and well wishes. And that will not cause really bad reactions in areas you don't want them. So it's mostly practicality.
